Our selection process will involve continuous interviews, aiming to select approximately 12 participants for this initiative. The trip will take place on 13-28th of September 2024 and costs approximately 25,000 SEK, covering airfare, local transport in Africa, accommodations, meals, and visa fees. Should you need financial support, consider applying for sponsorship through your congregation or organising your own fundraiser to meet the expenses. We will ensure that you receive the right knowledge and safety information before the trip during dedicated two joint days at LM International's global office in Stockholm.
All applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM (CET) on June 30, 2024.
Over two weeks in September, you will get the chance to visit MAF and LM International's partners in the field. The journey begins in Ethiopia, where you will learn about aid work, leadership, and the Agenda 2030. We will visit churches that MAF and LM International collaborate with. You will also gain insight into how LM International works locally with its projects. After that, the group will split into three smaller teams, each traveling with MAF to either Kenya, Uganda, or Tanzania.
Depending on your destination, activities might include working on improving healthcare access in Tanzania, visiting refugee camps in Uganda, or distributing water filters in Kenyan villages.
Overall theme: Aid, the church's role in communities, human rights.
